4BHK Residence at Lodha Evoq, Mumbai

An elegant urban residence defined by clean lines and a calm spatial experience

The design is driven by a layered use of materials such as marble, veneers, and textured finishes to create depth across spaces. Each surface is treated with restraint, allowing the materials to stand out without overwhelming the environment. Lighting and detailing further enhance the textures, resulting in a home that feels refined, balanced, and quietly sophisticated.

The Evoq Residence was envisioned as a luxurious yet comfortable urban home, designed within a 2000 sq. ft. high-rise setting. The approach was to create a space that feels refined and contemporary, while still being warm and practical for everyday living.

Materiality plays a central role in defining the character of the interiors. Marble flooring forms the base of the common areas, establishing a sense of elegance and continuity, while wooden flooring in the master and parents’ bedrooms introduces warmth and comfort. The kids’ room is treated differently, using patterned tiles to create a more playful and distinct identity within the overall palette. Across the home, a combination of marble, veneers, laminates, cladding, and textured finishes is used to add depth and variation, allowing each space to feel unique yet connected.

The living area is designed as the focal point of the home, anchored by a statement chandelier that defines the volume and enhances the overall sense of luxury. Furniture selection, largely sourced from China, complements the design language with clean forms and refined detailing, balancing aesthetics with functionality. Wall treatments and finishes are layered thoughtfully to avoid monotony, creating a rich yet controlled visual experience.

The planning ensures a seamless flow between spaces, with the living and dining areas opening into each other while maintaining clarity in movement and use. Private areas such as the bedrooms are designed to feel more intimate and relaxed, offering a contrast to the more expressive social spaces.

The overall design moves beyond surface-level luxury, focusing instead on material harmony, proportion, and detailing. The result is a home that feels sophisticated yet inviting — a space where luxury is experienced through comfort, balance, and thoughtful design decisions.
