UNIVRSE – Beyond Play

An immersive environment shaped by light, movement, and spatial flow

Conceived as an experiential game zone, the design uses lighting as the primary element to define space and atmosphere. Colour zoning and circulation help distinguish each area while guiding movement intuitively. The overall environment is designed to feel dynamic and engaging, going beyond a typical gaming setup to create a space that is experienced, not just used.

UNIVRSE was envisioned as more than a conventional game zone — it was designed as an experiential environment where light, movement, and energy define the space. The core idea was to move beyond static interiors and create a setting that constantly engages the user through atmosphere and interaction.

Lighting plays a central role in shaping this experience. Instead of uniformly illuminating the space, the design strategically controls light intensity and placement to enhance focus, depth, and mood. Each zone is treated uniquely, using light as a guiding element to influence movement and create a sense of transition.

The layout is carefully zoned to support both functionality and visual identity. Distinct colour palettes define different activity areas — blue energises the gaming zones, yellow activates the cafeteria, and subtle accents guide users intuitively through the space. This creates a seamless connection between circulation, signage, and spatial experience.

Material selection was approached with both practicality and design intent. The existing industrial flooring was retained and enhanced with a damp-proof finish, maintaining cost efficiency while complementing the bold visual language of the interiors. Dark surfaces and controlled finishes further amplify the lighting effects, allowing the space to transform dynamically throughout the day.

At its core, UNIVRSE is not just a place to play — it is a designed journey, where every element contributes to an immersive and memorable experience.
